The Fort St. John Petroleum Association has confirmation that Federal Finance Minister Jim Flaherty will be among the dignitaries attending next week’s 50th anniversary celebrations.
Flaherty is expected to attend the opening reception of the three day event, at the Pomeroy Hotel on the evening of August 27th.
General Manger Tyler Kosick says everyone is invited to take part in the celebrations.

The Association will host a variety of different functions, and there is a possibility that both Prime Minister Harper and Premier Campbell will also be able to attend the event, although neither of those appearances has yet been confirmed.
Both confirmations should be announced early next week.
