Freeze lifted on Gaming Grants

The Campbell government has completed its 60 day review of $159 million in grants to community groups in the province and the freeze on the money was lifted yesterday.

That means the groups waiting for it, should soon be getting it, but not likely in all cases. Mr. Coleman says the groups need to remember the program is not an entitlement, and that grants are assessed on an annual basis.  Fort St. John groups receive over $800,000 in funding each year from this program.
