A helicopter crash in the Northwest Territories has killed two people and injured one other person.

The chopper was attempting to land near Nahanni Butte yesterday afternoon when it rolled, trapping three people inside.

One was rescued and flown to a hospital in Edmonton this morning.

An official at the Rescue Co-ordination Centre at C-F-B Trenton, Ontario says the two other victims were found dead inside the chopper.

Nahanni Butte is about 250 kilometres north of Fort Nelson.
