Human remains have been found in the Wapiti River near Grande Prairie.

The Grande Prairie RCMP say that human remains were located Thursday at 9am in the Wapiti River near O’Brien Provincial Park.

Police say that the discovery was made by Sustainable Resources Development staff who were working in the area.  At this time Police say there is no indication of foul play.

Currently investigators and the Medical Examiner’s office are working to determine a positive identification.
