NP Alumni Hockey School set to open

Spaces are still available in the elite camps, as the North Peace Alumni Hockey School opens this weekend.

The weekend’s shooting and hitting clinics are already full, but the two elite camps (ages of 9-12yrs & 13+) are still open for registration.

Kelly Beard will be doing the off-ice training at the elite camps, while Mike Hofstrand and Scott Ford headline the list of on-ice instructors.

Hofstrand says the elite camps are ideal for anyone looking to try-out for a rep team this fall. "We’re going to get into some more drills, some passing and skating and drills where you’re moving quite a bit." Hofstrand retired from the ECHL’s Bakersfield Condors after the 2007/08 season, and says participants will be running through the same type of drills he used to do as a pro.

The NPAHS main camps begin on Monday Aug. 10, and there is a limited amount of room remaining. For registration forms, visit Ernie’s sports experts, or find out more, including the full list of instructors, at northpeacealumni.com.
