Over 4,000 people are estimated to be in Tumbler Ridge for the Annual Grizfest Music Festival and a storm has knocked out power in the community.

The power went out at approximately 5:23pm Sunday and is expected to be restored by 10pm.  The power is out East of Monkman Way and South of the Heritage Highway.  A  severe thunderstorm warning was issued for the community early Sunday afternoon.

The storm did delay Grizfest for a few hours, but the show is now back on.

Over 740 customers in the area are without power.  Do you have a photo or video of the storm that blew through Tumbler Ridge?  Send them to [email protected]
