Vandalism to Equipment causes over $10,000 in Damage

 The Fort St. John RCMP responded to a report of mischief/vandalism on the Old Hope Road and the Alaska Highway.

During the morning of August 29th, 2 John Deere excavators had profanity spray painted on them with orange spray paint as well as all the windows were broken by rocks and sticks.  The damage to the two pieces of construction equipment is roughly $10,000.

Another piece of equipment, a Bomag compactor had spray paint all over the interior controls causing another $1,000 in damage.

The Fort St. John RCMP is asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating the suspects.  If you have any information about this incident, please contact the RCMP at 250-787-8140 or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS
