Youths arrested in Dawson Creek for break-ins


The Dawson Creek RCMP apprehended 4 people for breaking and entering vehicles early Tuesday morning after receiving a call regarding youths entering unlocked vehicles.

Just before 5am on August 11th, the Dawson Creek RCMP Received a call regarding several youths going into vehicles along 113th avenue near 16th street in Dawson Creek. RCMP members responded immediately in order to locate and apprehend the persons responsible and members conducting patrols of he area soon located four suspects currently in the act of committing a theft.

Two youth males, one youth female and one adult male were arrested and taken into custody.  Charges of Break and Enter, Theft and Mischief are currently being forwarded.  It is currently unknown how many vehicles were targeted.  This investigation is ongoing.  This event seems to be isolated to the area between 15th street and 17th street along 113 avenue.

Dawson Creek RCMP are asking that residents of that area call the local detachment at 250-784-3700 if they notice anything missing from their vehicles.

As this is a crime of opportunity, the RCMP would like to remind the residents of Dawson Creek to keep there vehicles locked and valuables out of sight.
