The President of the New Car Dealers Association of B.C. had nothing but optimistic news for northeast B.C.
Blair Qualey was in Fort St. John to visit with new car dealerships on Friday. He says people from all over the province are regaining their trust in the economy.

He says now is probably the best time to purchase a new vehicle, as the price is comparable to buying used. Qualey says while the Northeast has been affected by the economic downturn, the area wasn’t affected as hard as other areas in the province.
Now, he says, technology is advancing, and he predicts more people will take advantage of purchasing a new vehicle. [asset|aid=1916|format=mp3player|formatter=asset_bonus|title=aaa0a0b5218da00f7105f180fe9c1bc0-Blair Qualey 2_1_Pub.mp3]
He also noted there is a future for hybrids in the northeast. He says as technology evolves, so do the possibilities for larger trucks to become hybrid.
