Update – Hudson's Hope and Montney without phone service

**At 9:05 a.m. TELUS restored landline phone services to about 1,400 customers in Hudson Hope, Montney and surrounding rural areas, near Fort St. John. Two cell towers affected by the outage were restored by 11:45 a.m. The communities lost service about 5:40 a.m. when electrical equipment in TELUS’ building in Fort St. John failed.

Telus is working to restore service to about 1,400 customers in Hudson Hope, Montney and surrounding rural areas, near Fort St. John.

Customers lost service about 5:40 a.m. when electrical equipment in Telus’ building in Fort St. John failed due to a power surge or other issue.  Technicians are onsite working to restore service as quickly as possible.

At this time we do not know when service will be restored and Telus will provide an update when services is restored.
