Elks jump to strong start

Thirteen members of the Elks Speedskating club travelled to Edmonton over the weekend to participate in a competition.  It was a big meet, with over 200 skaters, including many of the top short track skaters from Western Canada.

The Elks posted some very strong results, and coaches were impressed with the form their skaters showed early in the season.  Of particular note was Mitch Kupchanko, who faced some very tough competition (competing against skaters from the Oval Program in Calgary).
