A relatively new group is opening doors for young business professionals in Fort St. John.
Synergy Fort St. John is a junior division of the Fort St. John and District Chamber of Commerce. It was initially formed last year, and has since gained momentum in the community.
Spokesperson Brent Hodson says the organization is vital to young professionals, especially in the economic downturn.
The organization is open to entrepreneurs, business owners, managers, senior staff, executives, and perspective entrepreneurs 40 years of age and under.
Hodson says while the Chamber of Commerce is beneficial to its 400 members, it’s important to have a group especially designed for the younger generation.
Hodson says membership to Synergy Fort St. John is free to existing Chamber members, and 25 dollars per year to others.
This fee gives members access to workshops, events, and networking sessions.
