PRRD hosts zoning public forum on Monday

The Peace River Regional District holds another public forum on Monday evening, to discuss a possible zoning bylaw change.

The change in question would see businesses in light industrial zones allowed to salvage, store, and dismantle vehicles on their properties.  Currently, those activities aren’t allowed in Light Industrial properties.

The owners of First Choice Towing applied to the Regional District for the change. Around 20 people showed up at an August forum on the issue, with some in support, and others voicing concerns ranging from diminishing property values, to the domino effect of changing bylaws.

Monday’s public forum begins at 7 o’clock, at the North Peace Cultural Centre.

Further forums will be held on Wednesday evening in Dawson Creek, and on Friday evening in Chetwynd.
