Starbucks owner set for cancer campaign

The local Starbucks owner will be breaking out her pink wig for a good cause.

On Saturday, Safeway will be holding a blitz to raise funds for breast cancer research.

Monica Temple says she’s helping out with this fundraiser, because she is a breast cancer survivor.

That was two years ago. Now, she will be giving hope to other breast cancer survivors.

She says she will be fundraising from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and would like to meet other breast cancer survivors in the area.

She says she will be wearing a pink wig to support the fundraiser.

Safeway will be selling pink paper ‘leaves’, for the cause. Leaves are available donation, and will be displayed on a tree in the store.

Temple also says there will be chili and buns available throughout the day.
