Fort St. John residents have pitched their ideas for the fate of the Peace River Lookout.
Director for Area ‘C’, Arthur Hadland says many people attended the consultation meeting on Monday, to voice their ideas for the lookout at the south end of 100th Street.
This past summer, Hadland suggested that the regional district look into developing the Peace River lookout.
The regional district then granted Focus Corporation just over $16,000 to conduct a feasability study. The Regional District and Focus Corporation then came up with a draft proposal, that was on display on Monday afternoon.
Hadland says he would like to see a parking lot and some guard-rails to beef up safety at the lookout.
Hadland says all of the suggestions received on Monday will go towards drafting another proposal.
Next year, the Regional District will review the ideas, and come up with an action plan.
