Flu shot net widens

The Fort St. John Medical clinic has expanded the eligibility parameters for Friday’s H1N1 vaccination clinic.

Running from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., the clinic will offer H1N1 shots to those in the first, highest-risk category, as well as:

*all pregnant women

*children between six months and five years old

*Children and Adults under 65 with underlying health conditions including Diabetes, Asthma, COPD, and Kidney and Heart disease

*and also, those with immunodepressed systems, and their household contacts.

For more information, visit the clinic’s website, at www.fsjmedicalclinic.com.

Not to be confused with the Fort St. John Medical Clinic, Northern Health has also expanded its net of eligibility.

NH is now offering vaccines to a similar range of people, plus health care workers in critical care settings and household contacts of infants under six months old.

Northern Health’s next clinic is scheduled for next Tuesday (Nov. 17), from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., at the Pomeroy Hotel.
