Dress in a holiday costume or your fastest running gear, at this year’s Jingle Bell Run for Arthritis.
This year’s Jingle Bell Run is set for (Sat) November 21, 2009 at the Northern Lights College. The event is a non-competitive, fun-filled, family-oriented fundraising event, raising funds for the Arthritis Society.
It includes a 10km race for adults, a 5km route for the non competitive walk/run and the kids run, and possibly also 2km race for youngsters.
Participants can register online, or from 9:00-9:45 on race day. The cost is $20 for adults, $15 for teenagers, and $5 for those 12 and under. The first 50 people registered will also receive an embroidered scarf, a bell (for your shoes), and other donated goodies.
The race itself starts at 10:00 a.m., and there will be prizes for best festive costume, best group costume, top fundraisers, and for the fastest in the competitive events.
