The Northern Development Initiative Trust has a new Board Chair.

Chetwynd Mayor Evan Saugstad will replace Bruce Sutherland after he retired following 5 years of service. Lita Powell from Taylor was confirmed as Vice Chair of the Board and Mike Tarr of Prince Rupert remains Finance Chair.

The Northern Development Initiative Trust was created in December of 2003 in order to use the 135 million dollars from the lease of BC Rail assests. The group uses that money to help create economic development in the North and Central areas of the Province.
