Once again, Fort St. John residents have proven themselves to be angels.

The local Hospital Foundation’s ‘Be an Angel Campaign’ has surpassed its goal of $200,000.

Executive Director, Janice Isberg says the number is sitting at $207,000.  That puts the Foundation closer to its overall goal of $300,000 for the visiting specialists clinic.

She says what’s more surprising is that it has surpassed the Birthing Room Campaign, which has generated about 80% of its $150,000 goal.

That campaign began in the spring of 2009. But, fundraising will continue until both campaigns reach their intended goals.

Isberg says beginning in the New Year, the Hospital Foundation will pose one question to hospital personnel….

The funds will allow the foundation to purchase new equipment for specialists, in hopes of attracting more of them to the area.
