The Senior Flyers hit double digits for the second time in Dawson Creek this season, in a 10-1 win on Saturday night.
The Flyers got another solid performance from rookie Adam Horst, who scored two goals and two assists, while Dawson Creek native Kip Noble also chipped in a pair of goals.
Troy Hunt earned the win in goal, stopping 26 of the 27 shots sent his way, with the lone Senior Canucks goal scored by Ryan Walker late in the third period.
Other Flyers goals came from Matt Shuya (2), Luke Middleton, David Alexander, Jeff Fast, and Andrew Derton.
The game also Gerard Dicaire’s return to the Flyers lineup, as they continue to strenthen their roster for their Allan Cup season. After struggling with defensive depth in last year’s McKenzie Cup, the Flyers now boast an impressive defensive corps including former pros Kip Noble, Andrew Derton, and Gerard Dicaire, as well as Donny Lloyd, Bryan Lewis, Arlo Hadland, Mike Shipton, Luke Middleton, and the Loney brothers.
The Flyers visit Grande Prairie on Thursday night (Dec. 10) to face the Athletics, in a game that will be broadcast on Moose FM.
