The New Totem Archery Club is getting settled into its new digs.
The Archers are now back in their former location, after an absence of a few years. Located below World’s Gym, in the Coop Mall, the space is ideal. It offers safety, warmth, and plenty of room for indoor shooting.
For Club President Rory Chapple, the biggest benefit of the space is simple convenience. "We’re a central location" he says. "You can come down, and just shoot for ten minutes, and it only costs you a five-minute drive to get here."
Featuring a shorter distance for beginners, and a longer distance for adults and more advanced archers, the site is the ideal hideaway for archers looking to keep sharp during the long northern winter.
The club is a good starting point for those who want to learn how to bow-hunt, but it also boasts a wealth of competitive target shooters, including former National 3-D Champion Tell Szoo.
For beginners, archery can be a daunting prospect, but the club’s laid-back structure makes it easy for first-timers to quickly get into the swing. [asset|aid=2196|format=mp3player|formatter=asset_bonus|title=dc4d880a8e12196d7682df84bdf9f2dd-rory-way it works_1_Pub.mp3]
Chapple also says beginners are welcome to drop-by any time. [asset|aid=2197|format=mp3player|formatter=asset_bonus|title=dc4d880a8e12196d7682df84bdf9f2dd-chapple-recruits_1_Pub.mp3]
