RCMP search for cable repair man impersonator

Fort St. John RCMP are looking for a fake cable repair man.

On December 24th, the Fort St. John RCMP received a complaint of a male that attended a residence, stating he was from Shaw Cable to fix a broken cable box in the 9600 block of 96A Avenue.

Upon further investigation, Shaw Cable did not have any work orders for the residence or any other residences in the neighbourhood, leading police to believe the male was impersonating a Shaw employee.

The male is described as approximately 30 years old, wearing a brown ball cap, brown jacket and brown hair. The male was also driving an older green truck, of an unknown make. The Fort St. John RCMP are encouraging the public to report any suspicious activity to police.

If you wish to remain anonymous call Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or online at www.crimestoppersfsj.ca. You can also call the detachment at 250-787-8100
