Trackers drop 2 of 3 on home ice

The NEBC and Yukon Tracker-Flyers got into three close battles on home ice this weekend, but only came out with two points.

On Friday night, the Tier 1 Midgets dropped a 4-3 decision to the Grande Prairie Storm.  Tyler Akeroyd led the way offensively with a goal and an assist, while David Readman stopped 34 of his 38 shots against.

On Saturday night in Dawson Creek, the Trackers beat Peace River 5-3, on the strength of 3 powerplay goals.  Tyler Akeroyd again scored a goal and an assist, while Tyler Norris chipped in two helpers, and David Readman posted the win in goal.

On Sunday afternoon, NEBC entertained Peace River back at the North Peace Arena, but dropped a one-goal decision.  Peace River scored the game-winning goal halfway through the third period, with David Readman stopping 28 of 31 shots for NEBC in his third start of the weekend.
