Police still don’t know who was behind the wheel of a truck that veered into a ditch last week, and so have punished the truck’s owner.

On Tuesday, December 8th, police responded to a one-vehicle collision on 100th Street near the Northern Lights College.

When police arrived, they discovered a white pick-up truck in the ditch. There was one ‘heavily’ intoxicated passenger still in the vehicle, while the driver and two passengers had fled the scene.

Officers located the passengers and driver of the vehicle later that day. However, not one of the individuals would admit to police who was driving at the time of the crash.

So, RCMP officers instead issued violation tickets to the owner of the vehicle, who was legally responsible for what the vehicle had done that day.
