5 Fort St. John rinks headed to PCA Seniors

Fort St. John will be represented by five teams, at the Peace Curling Association’s Senior District Championships this weekend in High Prairie.

On the men’s side, Randy Maxwell and Gary Ollenberger’s rinks will battle with six other Peace Region teams, for the right to represent the region at the Alberta Senior Provincial Championships, in Mid-February in Edmonton.

Six women’s teams, including three from Fort St. John will also compete for a spot at Provincials, with the Energetic City represented by Trudy Mitchell, Dorothy Trask, and Marlene Maxwell.

The defending champions are Colin Griffith and Norma Huitt, both of Grande Prairie. Both teams finished as runners-up in the 2009 Alberta Senior Championships.
