Close to $600,000 has been invested to improve early childhood development services in the Peace Region.
The Government of Canada made the announcement on Monday morning.
The Federal Government will provide funding for the program, which will led by the North Peace Community Resources Society. The society will work with five not-for-profit organizations to improve their capacity to deliver services, particularly in rural areas.
Prince George-Peace River MP Jay Hill says this funding will provide more early childhood development services, and reduce wait times for families.
