On Monday, Zach Dowd received $2,000 and Vasily Petlyuk got $1,000.

Both students are enrolled in a full course load, and obtain the highest academic standing at the end of the first term.

The program is year one of the Geomatics Engineering Technology Diploma program and is offered in partnership with the British Columbia Institute of Technology. Students who complete the certificate at NLC can transfer directly into year two at BCIT, or enter into industry.
