3 locals compete at PG Iceman

Three Fort St. John athletes headed to Prince George last weekend, for the 2010 Iceman.

Conditions were incredibly wet and mild, and Gord Harris reports it had rained on the course all morning, and there was an inch of standing water covering the ice skating oval and change tent floors.

The race included an 8km cross country ski, 10km hilly run, 5km skate, 5km run, and a 800 m indoor swim.

Results for local partipants were as follows:

Barb Polehoykie was 4th in the master’s women’s division with an overall time of 2:26:29
Gord Harris was 8th in the veterans men’s with 2:29:38
Chris Eremenko was 21st in the open men’s with a time of 2:46:58.
