City sponsors Black History Month celebration

By Christine Rumleskie

Fort St. John City Councilors have approved a $2,000 sponsorship to the Pan African Caribbean Association.

At a special council meeting on Monday night, the city said it will grant the money, providing that the funding doesn’t become relied-upon.

The Pan African Caribbean Association wants to throw a two day celebration on February 26th and 27th, in honour of Black History Month. This would be the first Black History celebration held in the city of Fort St. John.
