Fort St. John’s Denny Morrison will race in his best event today in Vancouver.

Morrison will compete in the men’s 1,500 long track speed skating event.  Morrison is the former world record holder in the event.  His record was beaten by American Shani Davis.

Morrison is looking to improve after what he calls the worst race of this life, the 1,000m event on Wednesday.  In that event he was favoured to win a medal but ended up in 13th place.

The race will happen at 5:15pm Fort St. John time and you can see the race live on CTV.  Denny Morrison will start in the 16th pair and race against Ivan Skobrev of Russia.  Shani Davis will race in the last pair, the 19th, against Lucas Makowsky of Canada.
