Some North Peace residents might want to stock up on some extra candles for Valentines day.

BC Hydro will be holding a planned power outage for the communities of Prespatou, Buick Creek and the Blueberry Reserve, on February 14th.

The crown corporation needs to upgrde some of its equipment, and needs to shut-off power to ensure safety for the work crews.

The outage will last for approximatley eight hours, starting at 8:00 a.m.
