Denny Morrison has just finished his first race at the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver.

Morrison competed in the 5,000m event on Saturday and was in the second pair.  Morrison finished with a time of 6:33.78.  At the time good enough for second.  There are 14 pairs of skaters competing this event and Morrison’s finish could change as the event continues this afternoon.

Denny’s brother and parents were both in attendance at the event.  Denny specializes in the 1,000 and 1,500 metre events, which are scheduled for Wednesday and Friday.  For more on our local participants visit
