Stage North, looking for a new rehersal and storage site by May first, is now eyeing the vacant ‘Sew it Yourself Shop’ building on the west side of 102nd street, across from the Post Office building.

Spokesperson Dave Eaton has asked City Council about the possibility of leasing the building, and he has indicated, Stage North would be willing to pay, up to two thousand dollars a month.

However, City Manager Dianne Hunter says, the building needs a formal assessment before any decision can be made…and, she adds…

In what’s called a very broad estimate, City Staff says it would likely take more than ten thousand dollars to bring the building up to code.

Thus, Council has only promised to consider, the Stage North request.
