The District of Tumbler Ridge is holding a ‘Real-2-Reel’ contest, and is looking for video submissions from travelers who have enjoyed the outdoors in and around the town.

Submissions are entered into one of the following categories: Summer or Fall, Winter, and Youth Under 18, as well as a People’s Choice Award. There’s a combined total of $2,500 in cash prizes up for grabs.

Eligible submissions must be 2-4 minutes long, and must be owned by the person submitting them.

Videos will eventually be posted on Tumbler Ridge’s YouTube channel. Submissions will be chosen by a panel of judges after October 16, 2010. From there, the public will be able to vote for the winners. Awards will be handed out at a screening event in December.
