On a day when the record low is minus 39.4, we’re looking for a high today near freezing.

In addition, in a month when the record low is minus 42.2 we’ve yet to record a low this February, as cold as minus 20.

That record February 17th low was set in 1948 and the record low for the month on February first in 1947.

However, the record high for this day and in fact for the entire month is plus 12.8 and it was set in 1943.

Although we are likely to get about 5 degrees warmer than the local area seasonal norm today, we will still be about 12 degrees colder than we were on this day 67 years ago.
