A Grande Prairie man is facing charges of sexual assault.
The Grande Prairie RCMP have confirmed that nine charges are pending, including counts of Sexual Assault, four counts of Sexual Exploitation and one count of Sexual Interference.
The charges come on the heels of allegations made by two young women, who police say were on a team coached by the man in the summer of 2009.
Both of the alleged victims are under the age of 18, and therefore, neither they nor the accused 39 year-old man can be identified.
The man was formally charged on March 1st, and has been released, pending his next court appearance, on March 24th.
Anyone with information that could prove useful in the investigation of these events, is asked to call the Grande Prairie RCMP at 780 – 830 – 5701, or to call Crime Stoppers toll-free, at 1 – 800 – 222 – 8477, or online at www.tipsubmit.com.
