The Dawson Creek RCMP detachment says the investigation continues into a collision that caused a tanker truck to catch on fire Sunday morning.
A tanker truck and a small car collided on Highway 97 shortly after 3 a.m. on Sunday. The truck was hauling a concentrated chemical used to clean out wells, and quickly caught fire.
Watch Commander Corporal Dickinson says RCMP cordoned off the highway, and diverted traffic at the Mason Road and the Braden Road.
He says the driver of one of the vehicles sustained non-life threatening injuries.

The tanker truck has been removed from the scene, and the highway was fully reopened around 2 a.m. on Monday morning.
Cpl. Dickinson says it’s unknown at this time if any charges will be laid.
