Update – As of 8am on March 2nd, the standoff continues in Dawson Creek.  The RCMP still haven’t provided any official information at this time.  All we have are unconfirmed reports of a lone occupant in the home.  As soon as we can get more information, we will pass it along.

Update – As of 11pm on March 1st, the RCMP still haven’t returned any or our phone calls.  As soon as we can get more information we will pass it along.

Energeticcity.ca has received a report of a police incident in Dawson Creek that has closed off six blocks in the 600 block of 99th Ave. Police appear to have surrounded a house with about 20 RCMP vehicles on scene. 

According to an eyewitness, area residents are being turned away by the RCMP are are not allowed to return home.  The RCMP at this time have not provided any official details on the incident.

The incident began at about 4:30 PM.
