The Chetwynd RCMP are reporting that there may have been an attempted abduction in that community.

On Thursday April 8th, the Chetwynd RCMP received a report concerning a male who approached a young girl on 50th avenue Northeast as she walked home from Windrem Elementary School.

The male told the girl she was pretty and would like to take her home.  The male left without any further incident and is described as 40-50 years old, grey hair, mustache with stubble on his chin and he was wearing a black ball cap and a dark coloured jacket.
