The Bentley Generals will represent Alberta at the 2010 Allan Cup.
On Saturday afternoon, the Generals defeated the Fort Saskatchewan Chiefs 5-3, to win the Alberta best-of-seven finals four games to one. The Generals are the reigning Allan Cup Champions, and have defeated the Fort St. John Senior Flyers the last three years in the McKenzie Cup.
The Generals and Flyers will renew hostilities in the first game for both teams, on Monday April 19th at 8 p.m. – on the opening day of the national championship.
The other three teams that have already qualified for the tournament are the Clarenville Caribous, representing the Atlantic region, the Southeast Prairie Thunder, representing the West region, and the host Fort St. John Senior Flyers. The teams that will represent Ontario and British Columbia will be determined by the end of the Easter weekend.

Any tickets purchased after April 1st will be available for pick up at the North Peace Arena starting on April 18th. Individual game day walk-up tickets will only be available after the tournament begins on April 19th and at increased prices.
The 102nd edition of Canada’s oldest amateur hockey championship will be held in Fort St. John April 19th-24th, 2010. Senior ‘AAA’ hockey teams from all over Canada will compete with the host Fort St. John Senior Flyers in hopes of becoming Canada’s senior hockey champions.
Senior ‘AAA’ hockey offers a great brand of elite hockey that sees a variety of players with different hockey backgrounds. Many players will have NHL, AHL, Major Junior or other professional experience, as well as players who were Jr. ‘A’ and Jr. ‘B’ stars from around the country.
