The Fort St. John Fire Department was called to a fire at the end of 95th Avenue.

Fire crews worked to put out the blaze on the property at around 11:30 on Friday morning. Tom Warden is with the local fire department. He says the fire was started by a spark as workers were cutting materials on the property.

Warden says the fire quickly engulfed a few scrap materials, but nothing substantial was ruined.

Residents are encouraged to be aware of the extremely dry conditions.
