The Senior Flyers posted wins in the first two games of their three-game exhibition series this weekend in Prince George.
On Friday night, the Flyers took a 7-1 victory, led by a pair of goals from new recruit Mike Hofstrand. Also scoring were Tyler Brough, Arlo Hadland, Paul Wiens, Gerard Dicaire, and Andrew Derton.
On Saturday, the Senior Mohawks found a little more offense, but still ended up suffering an 8-5 defeat. Both Rod Stevens and Chris Stevens found the back of the net on Saturday, while Andrew Derton, Gerard Dicaire, Jeff Shipton, and Kimbi Daniels also scored.
Clayton Pool earned both wins for Fort St. John, playing all 120 minutes between the pipes.
The teams meet again on Sunday evening at 5 p.m., before the Flyers return to Fort St. John.
*** Correction – goals on Saturday were scored by Andrew Derton, Rod Stevens (4), Kimbi Daniels, Jeff Shipton, and Chris Stevens.  Sorry.  I couldn’t read the game sheet.  -JZ
