The Northern Lights College is encouraging new students to apply for some free cash.

The college is offering four entrance awards for students who are enrolling in NLC programs this September.

The Audrey Clark Memorial Bursary is valued at $5,000, and is available to a single parent who is entering NLC’s full-time Applied Business Technology program or Business Management program.

Up to ten students will benefit from the NLC Foundation Entrance awards, valued at $1,000 per student. Both secondary school graduates and mature students can apply, as well as former Dual Credit students, if they are enrolling in a program other than their Dual Credit area.

There are also six awards valued at $1,000 each available to Aboriginal students. Applicants must submit a one-page essay detailing their education and/or career aspirations and how the award will help in their studies.

And, $3,000 is up for grabs for two students who are graduating from a local high school and are going on to post-secondary education at the NLC.
