The RCMP have confirmed that a man was stabbed to death on Thursday morning in Fort St. John.

At just after 6 a.m., police received a report of a disturbance in an apartment parking lot on 93 A Street. Upon arrival, they discovered a man sitting in the driver’s seat of a parked vehicle, suffering from multiple stab wounds.

The unidentified 28 year-old was transported to hospital, but later died of his injuries.

The initial police investigation was unable to locate anyone who may have been involved in the incident, but it has now spread to a nearby wooded area, where search and rescue personnel are assisting in a grid-search.
