Attempted truck theft in Chetwynd

The Chetwynd RCMP are investigating the attempted theft of a truck.

Police responded to a complaint of a break-and-enter at 4:45 a.m. on Tuesday morning (May 18th), at the Redimix Enteroute.

Police say the suspect was trying to steal one of the company’s trucks, when he was interrupted by an employee, at which point he fled the scene on foot.

The suspect is described as caucasian, approximately 50 years-old. At the time of this incident, he was wearing a ball cap, a light-coloured shirt, and blue jeans.
