One man is dead following an accident near the BC and Alberta border.

The Spirit River RCMP say a truck hauling oilfield equipment, made a left hand turn off Highway 49 near Baytree when a westbound motorcycle hit the trailer.

The driver of the motorcycle was transported to hospital in Dawson Creek Friday morning and later died from his injuries.  

At this time the RCMP have not released any further information about the crash.
