View Brush Fire near Alaska Highway in a larger map

At this time, the Alaska Highway is down to single lane alternating traffic near the 214 road.

The Dawson Creek RCMP are reporting there is a brush fire near the Alaska Highway at the 214 road, which is about 10km north of Dawson Creek.  The RCMP are warning motorists that there will be long delays in the area while they deal with the fire and the traffic.

At this time we have very little details on the fire as all the members with the Dawson Creek RCMP Detachment are dealing with this fire.
