31 year-old Andre Paul Dupas has been charged with murder in the case of Josh Lequiere.

Dupas made his first court appearance on Wednesday morning along with 28 year-old Pamela Joy Moore. Moore turned herself in to police and has been charged with being an accessory after the fact. Both have been remanded in police custody until their next court appearance July 28th, 2010.

The RCMP say that both individuals are from Fort St. John, but won’t release any more information about the ongoing investigation. Police still say this was a targeted attack.

Dupas is well known to police in the province of B.C. and is currently awaiting a trial in Dawson Creek next April.  In that case, Dupas is charged with Possession for the purpose of trafficking and carrying a weapon or prohibited device.

In September of 2009 Dupas was also found guilty of mischief of $5,000 or under and sentenced to 21 days in jail and probation for one year. He was also found guilty of Breach of undertaking recognizance and was sentenced to seven days in jail.

Moose FM / Energeticcity.ca research also suggests he has a lengthy criminal history, including various offenses in the Greater Vancouver area.
