Fort St. John’s Paladin Black Sox opened the 2010 Wheatbelt Baseball League season with a pair of losses to Grimshaw.

Hosting the Huskies for a Sunday double-header, the Black Sox lost both games, by scores of 4-3 and 11-5.

The Black Sox will be joined in the Wheatbelt league this year by the Beaverlodge Royals (formerly Grande Prairie), the Peace River Stampeders, the Grimshaw Huskies, the Rycroft Rage, and a new team playing out of Cecil Lake, known as the Norwest Thunder.

Fort St. John’s next game will be at the Norwest Thunder, on Wednesday (May 19) evening.
