In the fall of 2009, 18 communities participated in the consultation sessions called, "Let’s Talk About Primary Health Care: Discuss the Future of Basic Health Care in Your Community."

Residents were able to provide input on health services and activities. Some of the issues raised during the consultations include access to physicians, access to specialized services, as well as mental health and addictions support.

Northern Health says the information provided will help guide Northern Health’s Board and senior management with their planning and priorities through to 2015.
